Kenya’s BuuPass secures recent funding from Yango Ventures

BuuPass, a Kenyan-based startup that digitises intercity journey bookings, has secured a recent funding from Yango Ventures, a company enterprise fund of Yango Group. Whereas the deal dimension stays undisclosed, the capital will help BuuPass’s efforts to scale its infrastructure and deepen its footprint throughout African markets.

The deal comes one 12 months after BuuPass acquired Quickbus, its Nigeria and South Africa-based competitor, in 2024. That acquisition gave BuuPass entry to key markets and partnerships throughout important journey routes, additional accelerating its pan-African attain. BuuPass will use this recent funding to strengthen its infrastructure spine and speed up platform progress throughout Africa’s journey corridors.
