In a ceremony held on 27 December, 2025, Kamel Al-Wazir, Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Growth and Minister of Business and Transport, inaugurated the solar energy plant undertaking within the village of Omar Jagaa in Djibouti’s Arta area. 

The inauguration was attended by Djibouti’s Minister of Vitality and Pure Assets, Younis Ali Guedi, Minister of Infrastructure and Gear Hassan Hamad Ibrahim, and a number of other dignitaries from each Egypt and Djibouti.

In the course of the inauguration, Al-Wazir conveyed greetings from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, emphasizing the photo voltaic plant as a tangible results of the President’s go to to Djibouti in April 2025, which sought to bolster cooperation in vitality and infrastructure.
