Stories of an Amazon subsea cable in Co Cork first surfaced in January this yr.

A brand new Amazon Internet Companies (AWS) transatlantic fibre optic cable system known as Fastnet will join Co Cork and Maryland, US. The cable system is predicted to be operational from 2028.
