The Artwork Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is internet hosting a particular occasion this week that includes a bunch of beloved Canadian video games.
It’s known as the “Video Recreation Arts Appreciation Evening” and shall be held on Friday, September 5 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Organized by author and recreation developer Jim Munroe in partnership with Recreation Arts Worldwide Community, the occasion will highlight behind-the-scenes art work from a slew of acclaimed Canadian video games:
- Balatro — Localthunk (Saskatoon)
- Goodbye Volcano Excessive — KO_OP (Montreal) [artist will be present]
- I Was a Teenage Exocolonist — Northway Video games (Vancouver)

- South of Midnight — Compulsion Video games (Montreal) [artist will be present]
- Tactical Breach Wizards — Suspicious Developments (Vancouver)
- Tunic — Isometricorp (Halifax)
- Venba — Visai Video games (Toronto) [artist will be present]
At 7 p.m., Munroe will lead a guided tour via the artwork, explaining the reasoning for every recreation’s inclusion whereas asking the builders about their work.
Video Recreation Arts Appreciation Evening is included at no extra value with $30 AGO normal admission, whereas Members and Annual Go holders can enter without spending a dime.
