Kojima Productions has unveiled Dying Stranding Isolations, an authentic collection based mostly on the franchise created by founder Hideo Kojima, which is able to come to Disney+ in 2027.
The longtime sport designer, identified for the Metallic Gear Stable and Dying Stranding franchises, revealed the venture at a Disney+ occasion in Hong Kong alongside collection director Sano Takayuki. The brand new Dying Stranding collection would be the first Kojima Productions partnership with a worldwide streaming platform, with Kojima serving as government producer.
In line with Engadget, the collection will inform a brand new story set throughout the Dying Stranding universe and won’t draw on any of the video games’ storylines. Apparently, all that’s identified is that the collection will comply with two protagonists (a younger man and girl) on some kind-of journey. As for the way it will look, Conventional hand-drawn 2D animations can be used. Idea artwork displayed on the occasion was created by Ilya Kuvshinov, the character designer for Ghost within the Shell: SAC_2045.
This isn’t Kojima’s first try and take his Dying Stranding franchise past video games. In 2023, Kojima revealed that the manufacturing firm A24 was collaborating with Kojima Productions on a live-action movie venture, set to be directed by Michael Sarnoski (A Quiet Place: Day One). Kojima can be collaborating with Niantic on an AR venture, titled A New Daybreak.
