Building for a separate 220MW photo voltaic farm mission in Co Tipperary is almost full.

German renewable power producer ILOS Vitality has secured €143m in debt financing to assist fund the development of a brand new photo voltaic farm mission in Ballyhea, Co Cork.

The 217MW photo voltaic farm is being developed along with ILOS and its Irish growth associate Soleire Renewables. It would sit on 500 acres of land and produce sufficient renewable electrical energy to energy round 39,000 houses, ILOS mentioned. Building for the mission is already ongoing, having commenced this previous April.

In the meantime, building for a separate 220MW photo voltaic farm mission close to Roscrea in Co Tipperary that value roughly €130m in capital funding is almost full.

Known as Erkina, the Co Tipperary photo voltaic farm started its energisation course of with EirGrid in October and is ready to start exporting renewable electrical energy to the nationwide grid by the tip of the 12 months. That is additionally along with Soleire.

These are ILOS Vitality’s first two photo voltaic farm developments in Eire. With a mixed capability of almost 440MV, they’re set so as to add a further 25pc in era capability to the present portfolio of operational photo voltaic parks in Eire which stands at round 2,000MW.
