Knowledge safety startup Cyera continues on a development tear. On Thursday, it introduced a $400 million Collection F funding spherical at a $9 billion valuation. The New York-based outfit has now raised over $1.7 billion. This funding comes simply six months after the earlier $540 million spherical at a $6 billion valuation.

The brand new spherical was led by funds managed by Blackstone with participation from present buyers together with Accel, Coatue, Lightspeed, Redpoint, Sapphire, Sequoia, and others.

Cyera affords what it calls knowledge safety posture administration, a service that helps corporations map out the place all their delicate knowledge lives throughout cloud techniques and databases, observe how workers and functions use it, and establish safety vulnerabilities. The rise of AI — which has elevated each the quantity of information that corporations deal with and issues about knowledge leaks — has helped Cyera join one-fifth of the Fortune 500 corporations as clients and greater than triple income in its final yr, the corporate says, inflicting buyers to eagerly pile in.
