MassRobotics collaborated with the MIT Engine to take part in Powerful Tech Week – October 27 – 31, 2025. We offered a half-day session on Bodily AI and invited 12 of our resident startups to take part within the annual Demo Day.
The “Bodily AI: Thoughts in Movement” session started with a welcome kick-off led by Tom Ryden, introducing the MassRobotics mission and outlining the targets for exploring innovation within the bodily AI ecosystem. The morning continued with a fireplace chat that includes Gilwoo Lee, Founder & COO at Zordi & Oded Maron, Head of Bodily AI at MassRobotics. Gilwoo mentioned the journey of constructing a startup within the bodily AI universe, tackling matters comparable to shaping enterprise fashions, securing funding, selecting applied sciences, and constructing robust groups.
The hearth chat was adopted by a MassRobotics Resident Startup Panel moderated by Oded and that includes Krishna Gopalakrishnan (Luminous), Brian Hart (Black-I Robotics), and Xinyu Wang (Whelix, previously Mito). The panel explored non-humanoid robotic kind components, highlighting how various designs can allow new capabilities and markets inside Bodily AI.
The occasion wrapped up with a keynote speak by Russ Tedrake, Professor at MIT and Senior Vice President at Toyota Analysis Institute, titled “Studying Dexterous Manipulation: All Hype? Or Manufacturing Prepared?” Russ delved into the state of learning-based manipulation, and confirmed how studying throughout a number of duties can assist system shortly and robustly purchase capabilities on a brand new job, and mentioned the prospect of deploying such applied sciences in manufacturing environments.
