Telus-owned Public Cellular simply elevated the information on a number of plans in an try to go off Freedom Cellular.

Early on Friday, Freedom introduced again its $40/250GB plan for a restricted time. In response, Public added a bunch of information to its plans. The affords solely final till March 16.

Right here’s what Public has obtainable now:

  • $35/50GB CAN/US + 500 worldwide minutes (prev. $35/40GB)
  • $40/150GB CAN/US/MEX + 1,000 worldwide minutes (prev. $40/100GB)
  • $50/250GB CAN/US/MEX + 2,000 worldwide minutes (prev. $50/150GB)

Public Cellular plans as of March 13, 2026.

Whereas none of these plans fairly match as much as Freedom’s $40/250GB provide, they do hit Freedom in different areas. For instance, Public’s $35/50GB plan has much more information than Freedom’s $35/10GB plan.

Equally, Public’s $50/250GB beats out Freedom’s $50/100GB plan, although I believe most individuals 250GB can be going for Freedom’s $40 deal anyway.

Even when Public’s offers aren’t higher than Freedom’s, it’s nice to see wi-fi suppliers duking it out with offers like this. Right here’s hoping we proceed to see downward worth stress on wi-fi plans.

These can take a look at all of the plans on Public’s web site.
