Three Irish schemes to help girls entrepreneurs launched

Ladies-led companies take the entrance seat as three new programmes purpose to help entrepreneurs by all enterprise phases.

InterTradeIreland, along with Make investments Northern Eire and Enterprise Eire, is launching three new programmes to help and promote women-led companies.

The programmes are part of the €30m Shared Island Enterprise Scheme which focuses on selling girls entrepreneurs, supporting networks and clusters, and investments in sustainability and innovation.

Starting in 2026, the three programmes will help girls entrepreneurs all through completely different phases of their enterprise progress – from early ventures to scale-ups and established corporations.

‘WeBuild’ is a technology-focused programme designed to empower entrepreneurs by accelerating their tech-driven enterprise concepts, and develop tech-enabled ventures specializing in innovation and AI. WeBuild will likely be delivered by TechFoundHer.

Ladies in Enterprise Northern Eire and Community Eire are collectively delivering ‘WeGrow’, a programme for established women-led SMEs who’re aiming for progress and enlargement throughout the island.

Whereas ‘WeScale’ will work with girls entrepreneurs to assist them scale strategically and sustainably. This programme will likely be delivered by AwakenHub, Eire’s first and solely women-led funding syndicate. In a latest announcement, AwakenHub stated it has helped its portfolio corporations safe greater than €4.5m in investments.

Entrepreneurs collaborating within the three programmes are set to achieve entry to mentorship, tailor-made help, workshops and networking alternatives. Purposes are open now.

“We’re proud to cleared the path in supporting girls’s entrepreneurship throughout the island,” stated Michelle Billham, the assistant director of innovation and entrepreneurship at InterTradeIreland.

The all-island financial improvement company InterTradeIreland is behind the annual Seedcorn Investor Readiness Competitors. This 12 months, the company upped its whole prize fund for the competition to €800,000.

“InterTradeIreland, in collaboration with our key supply companions, is delighted to facilitate the supply of those new programmes to empower women-owned companies to scale operations, safe funding and improve management for worldwide enlargement, finally resulting in elevated confidence and market entry readiness for individuals,” Billham added.

Mary Gormley, the top of entrepreneurship at Make investments NI stated, “By offering focused help and fostering an inclusive enterprise surroundings, the programmes will bolster our work to extend the variety of feminine entrepreneurs and assist them to unlock new international alternatives and create good jobs.”
